Χρησιμοποιείται στην αρωματοθεραπεία αλλά και ως αφέψημα.
Στην σύγχρονη βοτανοθεραπεία, τα αποξηραμένα άνθη λεβάντας χρησιμοποιούνται κυρίως για τη μείωση του άγχους και της υπερέντασης. Η λεβάντα γενικά θεωρείται πως έχει ηρεμιστικές ιδιότητες και για αυτό το λόγο μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί και σε περιπτώσεις μελαγχολίας και ήπιας κατάθλιψης. Θεωρείται επίσης από κάποιους ερευνητές πως είναι υποτασική – ένα φλιτζάνι λεβάντας πριν τον ύπνο λέγεται πως "ρίχνει" τη πίεση και μειώνει την ταχυπαλμία κατά την διάρκεια τ νύχτας.

In modern herbal medicine, dried lavender flowers are mainly used to reduce anxiety and stress. Lavender is generally considered that it has sedative properties and it can therefore be used in cases of melancholy and mild depression. It is also believed, by some researchers, that it has hypotensive action - a cup of lavender before sleep, it is said that it "drops" the pressure and reduces the tachycardia during the night.
